Aparthotels
Home Away From Home
Tony Davies, Managing Director, St David Aparthotels

The definition of what constitutes an aparthotel is vague and open to interpretation. To most people it means a self-contained apartment, which might be a studio or have a number of bedrooms, and offers short-let stays, with a lower level of service than a hotel.
Aparthotels and serviced apartments in the UK vary hugely in quality, size & style – with a mix of modern operating systems alongside more antiquated operations. While in London and other major cities, the product has moved up-market in terms of quality and appearance, it’s clear that in other parts of the country, the standards tend to be far lower, reflecting the lack of investment and professional management that the brand chains, for example, offer.
